Yesterday we went to explore The Kelp Store which is Papay’s Heritage Centre. It has books, art, family history and more. It’s also a lovely peaceful space set on the eastern shoreline by the old pier and it quickly became my favourite spot on the island. We bumped into Jonathan the Papay Ranger who made me a cuppa and, while there, we spotted a hen harrier in flight.
On Day 17, I returned to the Kelp Store on my own and spent a few hours there reflecting on my retirement to date and planning my next steps.
