One of the hazards of living on Papay is a more than usual dependence on the weather.
Two days ago, Mel had to travel to Aberdeen. She flew Papay to Kirkwall and then onto Aberdeen. She was meant to return from Aberdeen yesterday morning but the flights were all grounded due to fog so she ended up spending an unplanned night in Kirkwall and then taking 2 ferries and a bus to get home this morning.
